New to SpyBlaster

I am a new purchaser of SpyBlaster and cannot get the program to run on my XP OS. When I try to start the program it will not contact the internet to start.

I have cable on line for contacting the internet. It seems the pgm. wants to use a modem. I have checked my internet connections and find them working fine. Security is set at med-high. Could this be the problem? If so, what level of setting do you recommend?

I have Spy-Bot, Norton personal firewall, 2004 Norton Works protecting my PC.

I would like to use the program as my system is running very slowly. I look forward to your assistance.
