    Hi,
I've installed Trueimage 8.0 linux on fedora core 2. I'm trying to do a full disk image (in x-windows mode) and immediately get an error window "Error -not enough memory". Of course the process terminates. I have 1 gig of memory in this server.

That's it..all the info I have. How to fix this?

    Regards,
    Eldon.

I have the same issue in SuSE 9.1.
    Has anyone solved that problem.

    Same problem here as well.
    SuSE 9.1Pro
I am able to create an image of a small partition, but as soon as we try to make a back-up of a large partition (5 Gb) we get the out of memory error message.
Granted it's only the trial version, but if that doesn't work when we won't take the risk to buy the full version.

    Hello Hans,

The date of release is not determined yet. It will be the new build rather than the new version. The build number will be 866.

    Thank you.

Acronis, can you give us an ETA on Build 866 for linux?

I get the same error as mentioned above, and it pretty much renders the linux version I just bought useless. I have to boot from the cd and create backup images, and it is very cumbersome in a production evironment.

    Hi Ilya,
ETA is an English acronym meaning: Estimated Time of Arrival
So Guest "Wishyou" wants to know when it will be released.

Well...build 879 is the latest and unfortunately I'm having the same error whenever I attempt to create a new image. Bummer! :(

I have also updated to build 879 and still receive the 'not enough memory' error when imaging the /boot (ext3) partition.

this is a great disappointment since i've already spend many many hours with the previous builds that gave the 'sector failure' error.

does anybody please know a patch or workaround for this?

    Hello bravado and colbyco,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Backup Software.

The possible reason may be that some old modules remained in the system after update. Could you please do the following:

    unload snapapi module
    #rmmod snapapi
then uninstall Acronis True Image Server for Linux
    # ./trueimage-setup -u
    and install the software again.
    # ./trueimage-setup

    This should work for you.

    Thank you.

    Hello Hans,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup Software.

The message you got means that snapapi module was not running. You may go on with the reinstallation. If you encounter any issues please feel free to describe them here.

    Thank you.

    Hello Pete,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

The point is that according to the system information file you have provided you use an older build of Acronis True Image 8.0 Server for Linux. I would therefore recommend you to follow the instructions Marian Fadeeva has provided you with (via e-mail) in order to solve the problem you have encountered.

Please also try to avoid posting duplicate requests in the future, since it is rather hard to monitor them.

    Thank you.
