Question Re: How does Spyware Blaster protect without running in the background?

And do I only have to run the program once to protect, or every time I start my computer?

Hi Wulf,

Spyware Blaster works by setting registry kill bits, which block the installation of known malware Active X Controls as well as blocking known bad cookies, in IE, FireFox, and Mozillia browsers.

No SB doesn't need to be running ... Just remember to check for DB updates, and then Enable all Protection ... and it will update your registry with the new killbits.

If you would like or need more info ... this is Javacools ' Knowledge bases --> http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/ ... or ask here ... and someone will be by to help you out shortly ... maybe even Javacool himself.

HTH,
