Using Acronis TI 7.0, when an image spans two files due to size, when checking the image, does it check both files or just the one selected? (Based on the time it takes, it appears to be verifying both, but am not certain.)
Second question: If an image is verified, say the day following when the image was made, what about changes that have occurred? There is no msg relating that it has or has not updated the image -- and the example I just experienced went very quickly as if it did not update the data in the image. Miles |

Hello Miles,
Thank you for using Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/). 1) Yes, it does check both files. 2) When you checking an image it is not updated, it is not changed at all. The "Check Image" tool just verifies the integrity of the image archive. It doesn't compare the image and the data from what this image has been created. In order to update the image you should run the "Create Image" wizard and create an incremental image file. I hope it helps you to understand how Acronis True Image functions and what is the "Check Image" tool. Thank you.
