Default Socks Proxys for Usenet News

How do you do...new to your groups.and hope i post in appropreate forum. My question is for anyone experienced in anon. surfing/posting on Usenet News servers.i currently have been trying to figure out the proggies "SocksCap32 and "Socks2Http" with using socks port 1080 proxys.and have had no luck getting a connection to my news servers.i see they are hard to come by...goodones that work that is.if anyone has one proxy i could try to see if i am not settin up the SocksCap32 orSocks2Http i would appreciate it.Or any tutorials on how to setup?i have tried both Androids and Still's tutorials,so i am probably not using a good proxy. Also,if you know, must i use both SocksCap32 AND Socks2Http together or can i just use SocksCap32.i am not sure on the reason for the Socks2Http.Any replies appreciated thank you

Hello,

Lots ISP don't accept proxysocks for sending mail and News.

I use SocksCap32 on Usenet News with News Surfer 2.30 (d/l : http://lettermanstationery.tripod.com/newssurfer230.zip) as Newsreader.
Good proxysocks are hard to find : there are often obsolete on the lists, you ought to find and test your own proxysocks with TrojanHunter or Angry IP scanner. And don't give it publicly when you find a good one or it will be HS in a few hours

No need using both

You may find tutorials with screenshots on http://www.optimix.be.tf (SocksCap32 Page but in French).

Angry IP Scanner : http://www.angryziber.com/ipscan/
TrojanHunter french Tut and d/l : http://membres.lycos.fr/smaugsd/fxp/Tutoriaux/Scanner.htm?tut=

I send all my mails with Mail Direct, Personal SMTP server through a proxysocks.

Really handy and you IP never appears

Rgds,

JacK

Hi Jack, thank you for reply.could not find tutorial @Optimax.do not read French though.Iwhat i need the Angry ip scanner for?Just a quick checker for proxys?i understand about not wanting to let go of a good proxy, but can you steer me in the right direction to a decent list?Or am i stuck with using a "pay for proxy site"such as "The Proxy Connection".com.Must i use a Trojan Hunter when going through another proxy connection?Appreciate the help.
