Default Problems Since Download of Windows SP2

I am having problems keeping my Spyware Blaster program working since I downloaded Microsofts new SP2 update. Everytime that I try to update the program, I keep getting a "MSI must be launched through set up". I tried to remove the program from my computer, but it says that I don't have this program on it, even though it shows that it is in the add/remove programs. What am I doing wrong - yes, I am sure you can all tell, that I don't really know much about this silly little machines. Any help is much appreciated.
