Default My WD800BB failed, it spins but it's not registered by BIOS

On rare occasion that it is registered by BIOS it does not appear in WINDOWS XP (even in Administrative Options Storage tab).

What can I do in order to get the data back?

I've tried SpinRite but it does not recognize the drive (no drives found) and even if it does it tells me that no boot sectors found. Then Phoenix data recovery (when it was still recognized by windows) tells me that the drive is having a lot of unrecoverable sectors?

How can I get the drive to get re-recognized by the BIOS in order to attempt any repair? Also what repair/recovery software do you recommend?
