Virus Problem?

I have AVG free version and it detected a virus so i ran the program & deleted it from my file. My problem is that the warning for the virus still keeps coming up all the time, every 30 seconds . I know it is not on the drive as it is showing no viruses on drive when i run the program. The virus is Worms / Agabot.26,BS. I haven't downloaded anything lately & it just appeared so can anyone please tell me how to get shot of it without uninstalling the AVG anti virus software. I hope someone can help in this matter.
