No. Just double-click the msstyles file to install. It will show up as "Media Center style" under "Windows and buttons" in the Appearance tab of your Display Properties.

if you are reading this, and you have managed to install the themes, will you let me know? its getting to be normal for me to have to try afew times to get anything to install/update. NAV2004 wasnt a problem, i just installed a different AV, but i like these themes. :D thank you :)

Sorry, just got home from work. RoyalMod works for me. Did you extract the complete contents of the zip file to C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes. The RoyalMod folder will include a sub-folder named Shell as well as RoyalMod.msstyles.

i just tried reDLing, then extracting straight to the themes folder, last time i just put it there. it still will not work :( . when i double-click RoyalMod.msstyles it acts like ive clicked My Favourite Theme.theme, and RoyalMod.theme never appears. do you think i should through my computer out the window? ive spent two days trying to find good wallpaper and themes, and if i can get this to work ill be so happy :D BTW i hope you like it :D

For me, it only shows up in the Appearance tab under "Windows and buttons". Not in the Themes tab. That's where I enabled it.

Same here. That's the way it's supposed to work. When the display properties pop up, go to Appearance...and click apply.

    Hi iceni60, ;) & Nick ;)

I tried to install the theme, after I saw you having problems ... to see if I could help.

Unfortunately, I have experienced the exact same problem. o_O

No trouble with the Media edtion theme (royale XP) ... which I also just installed before trying the royal mod 5 colour theme.

I duplicated your trouble on a Virtual PC. Royale installs but RoyalMod does not. I'll play with it some more.
