kazaa can't be removed.

tried removing kazaa thru normal means - get error message
error at system32/cd_clint.dll
missing service runDll

WHAT on earth does this mean?

keep getting a minidump error when kid is playing warcraft online - getting same error message.

any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm tired of fixing the kid's computer!

Ok, you are infected with the Cydoor spyware (at the minimum). Here's what you need to do to fix it:

1. Go to http://www.cexx.org/dummies.htm
2. Download the free, open source package CD_CLINT.ZIP to your computer. To do this, right-click on the CD_CLINT.ZIP and choose Save Target As. Save the file to a temporary folder on your hard drive.
3. Open the file CD_CLINT.ZIP (you'll need Winzip to do this) on your local hard drive and find the file CD_CLINT.DLL that is inside. Save the file CD_CLINT.DLL to the top-level folder where Kazaa is installed on your computer, usually C:\Program Files\Kazaa\. A CD_CLINT.DLL file will already be present in this folder and you may be asked if you wish to overwrite it; answer Yes to this question.
4. Cydoor is now disabled on this computer. The new CD_CLINT.DLL does not communicate on the network and is a harmless replacement for the old library. You can now safely delete the package CD_CLINT.ZIP installed in Step 2 above.

Reboot your PC and you should now be able to remove Kazaa. You may still have spyware on your system.

Uninstall Kazaa from Add/remove programs in control panel....

Do the same with P2P Networking .... it's a useless Kazaa add on that's been proven to slow down systems.......... If/when asked whether you also want to remove Altnet components, say 'Yes'

Warning...Before running Kazaabegone Save any music files etc, thet you have in Kazaa shared folders ... once you run Kazaabegone ... these will be lost forever

If you have removed Kazaa from your computer....run this program as well... kazaabegone <<< Click here it will remove all the rubbish left behind by the Kazaa uninstall.
