Microsoft: do not turn off Windows Firewall service, even if using 3rd party firewall

    There have been several posts on Wilders that have claimed that using a 3rd party firewall turns off Windows Service Hardening. I have seen some references that dispute this. For example, from https://blogs.technet.com/b/voy/archive/2007/04/02/network-restrictions-for-service-hardening.aspx:
    Given the first post, you must not turn off the Windows Firewall service though.

    Kind of like drinking coffee, is it healthy? Or if pot is more unhealthy than alcohol, depending on the source you will get different answers, and the web is full of everything you want to hear and don't.
    Hey, that would be a great app a "BS" filter. :D
    But who could you trust to make such a thing?
