hahaha! yes, but we traded the ugly Aero for the ugly flat square Metro look. Metro aside, i prefer Windows 8. it feels faster than 7. been running the 8.1 Beta for months here and it works just fine.
Both are ugly, so it's not really hard to forget Aero. On the more serious part, and I believe I've said it before, Aero isn't game friendly to me. Windows 8 fixed some problems I had before when I was still on Windows 7. One thing that annoys me about Win 8 is configuring file associations. Somehow I need to do some extra works to make it right, I can't just configure it from the program setting itself.
That's one way, but it'd be impractical to associate multiple file types. I find it to be more convenient to set them all via "Default Programs" setting in CP.
Windows 8 is by far the best Windows so far imo. I have now used it for a year and the only thing wrong with it is of course the "metro" interface, but it is easy to ignore it with classic shell.
Even though i dont like Metro, Windows 8 is waaaaaaaaay better than Windows 7. Windows 8 all the way for me.
Ready to change your sig? BTW, I can't wait until I get my hands on 8.1. I know I can just try the preview, but I prefer to use the final version since it's what most people will use. So if there's something wrong, I have a right to complain.
My vote is for Windows 8. While I really have no time for the new metro interface and apps and lack of the start menu, I do like that it runs faster the Windows 7.
