There have been several reports with update issues for Office 2007. It seems to get offered again and again, even after having updated.

Microsoft Offers Statement on KB2760411, KB2760588, and KB2760583 Updates.

Some of the updates released by Microsoft on Patch Tuesday appear to be stuck in some sort of installation loop, with plenty of users confirming the issues on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and even 8.1.

In a statement sent to Softpedia this morning, Microsoft confirmed that it’s indeed investigating the issues caused by KB2760411, KB2760588, and KB2760583 updates, but offered absolutely no workaround on how to deal with the problem until a fix is released.

As a workaround, right-click on the suggested update, and choose to hide it.
As simple as that.

Agreed for advanced users, be sure to unhide the hidden updates once MS has issued a fix for them.

Honestly! I can't for the life of me comprehend how they could have possibly failed to notice the issues.

After all, had someone with Office 2007 installed simply downloaded and installed the updates, it would have been almost immediate apparent that there was a problem.

FYI. September 2013 Office Update: Targeting and Repeated Offering.

We have investigated the issue, established the cause, and we have released new updates that will cease the unnecessary re-targeting of the updates or the correct offering of these updates.

It may be slightly early to be too optimistic but I think I can concur with JRViejo.

Those that have hidden updates should restore them and run Windows Updates once more to ensure they are current.

I don't think that we have to unistall them.

You should not see any duplication but if this is the case in your situation remove those that you may see twice in installed programs. This is doubtful, be careful prior to proceeding.

In update history i see duplication (windows update history) but in installed programs i see them only once, so i don't think that we will have a problem.
