a bit lighter than before, a more centralized gui (still not a full gui like others), good detection and medium scan speeds still very slow though. expensive as ever lol. i have always like dr web but cant see spending that much for it.

The link is to a response written 5 years ago and is mainly directed to Virus Bulletin.

Some of the better testing sites no longer use simple on-demand scanning of malware test beds to ascertain detection abilities.

Can we have an up to-date statement from Dr Web why they still do not consider third-party testing of their product?

It's alright in my experience. I mainly use its bootable CD on client's computers that have been infected by file infectors (Virut, sality ect.) because of the "Cure" functionality.

Never really used it for anything else.

I think their pricing for Mac and MS PC are to high. They need to lower pricing by 25%.

I like their products and Hitman Pro has never been the same since they pulled/or Dr Web dropped from being used in Hitman Pro.

    Hi

Their prices are quite more expensive in comparison to other European AV.
For the discount code, sorry, Google is your friend...

Regarding tests, the policy of DrWeb is highly respectable, and i do not wish to be off topic with the AV testing dilemma and its corrupted marketing impact.
Antimalware.ru has published some, the French school ESIEA too (https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=258087 ) and i remember a very interesting test by Eric Filiol on a French engineer magazine (begins at page 4) http://numerique.ed-diamond.com/flip_book/show/189

None of these are regarded as reliable testing sites and again most of these tests are at least 5 years old.

So overall, Dr Web is an expensive product, with a very slow scanner and with no reliable evidence from the main testing sites that it provides good detection.

So overall, IMHO, it is not a very good choice as an AV for the Home non-Russian market.

It's actually not that much expensive in my country, but I don't know, since there are no tests I can't get a feel for how good it is.

There are no objective tests. Any test costs money. And for this reason, can not be independent. Only a personal opinion or the opinion of trusted friends will help to evaluate the product.

Does Dr. Web have a behaviour blocker of sorts? From the marketing material it doesn't seem that way.
