Anyone else noticed this.
A little detail needing attention in 'AVG Antivirus 2012', i.e not 'FREE'.

Maybe this pic will help.
The popup is for Anti-Virus FREE The installed program is Anti-Virus 2012 It's not a big problem, just an oversight. PS. There was a glitch in the 'Pirate Talk' interface of avast! IS 6. Across the top of the UI, instead of 'avast! INTERNET SECURITY' it read 'avast! INTERNET ANTIVIRUS'. At least that one didn't make me feel like I'd paid me money for nothing. ![]()

That's an advertisement for their own AVG free mobile antivirus, right? And you have the paid AVG.What's wrong if they advertise their free product with their their paid one?(as long as it's not annoying and invasive).

Quote:
I'm not complaining about the ad (though it is somewhat presumptuous given that the PC owner doesn't have a phone). Unless I'm very much mistaken, 1/. AVG's mobile antivirus is called either 'AVG Mobilation' (Android) or 'AVG Family Safety' (Windows & iphone), not 'AVG Anti-Virus FREE'. 2/. The declaration that 'Your PC is now safe' is causally related to the text directly above.
