Wouldn't turning of D+ (HIPs) effectively do that?

Quick question please. Is there a way to stop comodo from asking to clean or ignore when something is found.I only want the option of allow or deny from the Hips.

I guess you're talking about the firewall with D+. It 's really fast. Doesn't affect my web browsing at all.
But to be honest, the difference isn't much with the AV either, at least on my system. Ofcourse the I/O is a little higher, but barely noticeable.

1.You can untick this one.

2.If the item is unticked, then the white list checked from the remote server is not accessible.

Yes thats the one that worked. It was enoying while testing as the hips would popup along with the clean or ignore option. The clean dont work anyways as it always says it was unable to clean. The Hips is good the clean option bites.

Fully virtualized sandbox? That sounds very secure.

This is what I hear as well. And why if I ever decide to go back to using a real-time AV, I'll just use the whole CIS suite.

I do wish they'd make a "slim" version for people like me though that already have a perfectly sufficient sandbox (Sandboxie), and don't need other bells & whistles either, including cloud scanning. Just the FW & D+... nothing more. Yes I know you can disable the modules, but even then the product still feels more bloated because it's all still there (device drivers, etc...), just turned off.

And a FW only version for those that want it too.

And even AV/FW/D+, and that's it (no sandbox).

If they provided all of those options they'd corner the market. I'd even pay for it, tailored to my exact needs like that. It'd be worth every penny.

IMO they made a mistake by adding a virutualization for whole desktop. It will raise a lot of issues and bugs i guess. It was better to make virtualization per application like in SBIE. I remember such an option was there in early versions of BZ but it never worked as expected.

Also i don,t like the GUI they have choosen for this virtual desktop, looks like a cheapish copy of iPad GUI. Very childish approach, they could have made a GUI of their own and that would be nice.

What's your problem with paid AVs? If you don't like them don't buy them and go on with your free AV. I really hate when somebody wanna make a war between products just because he or she can't afford them or doesn't want to pay.

IMHO some paid AVs same features have better quality than the free ones.

He was just expressing his opinion, which i find very valid. You need to ask yourself what is your problem with people's opinions instead of asking about other people's problems.

And yes, Comodo will crush the competition
And this is great, this way other companies will need to increase their quality.

I agree, a free, yet such powerful tool like Comodo will only do good to the level of quality of the whole 'security industry'.
