Default Google Drive for PC, only for those with high speed connections?

Google released Drive for synchronizing so i installed it on several machines.
Files on local computer are synced to the Google Drive.

It was working fine, i thought. Today started changing drives in some machines and found out its impossible to sync the Drive folder moved to new location or disk.

Google Drive insists on an empty folder and syncing everything again, with 50 GB online that requires lot of time or a speedy connection.

Found out today this has been known since it first was released, so if you get logged out or move folder you have to download every GB again.

Didn't anyone catch this problem before they released it?

Microsoft Skydrive applications lets you just select the Skydrive folder again and its ready to go.

Yeah I've run into the same problem last time I reinstalled my OS. Agreed...quite an annoyance.

Well, ive moved and deleted the files from Google drive using other alternatives.

Its pretty much unusable for other than syncing pictures and docs and android phones, so using it for that now.

They have known about this since april\early beta so doesnt look like they will change anytime soon.

Im on the old plan (yearly billing) so have to wait it out.
