Default Activation issues facing Rollback Rx users solved (?)

It appears that the cause of the activation issues facing Rollback Rx users may have been identified and a solution has been provided by Rx user carfal. Below is a copy of his post as well as a link to the thread on the Rx forum where this issue has been discussed in a bit more detail.

Quote:
When you uninstall Rollback it leaves the "Shield" folder behind with about 4 data files.

I've noticed on my system that since i've been manually deleting this folder (after Rollback has finished uninstalling) that my activation doesnt need to be reset any longer. I forgot to do this recently and at that time my activation exceeded limit warning reared its ugly head. I emailed HDS for a reset and have uninstalled, deleted and then reinstalled with no issue.

It's seems that leaving the folder with data files intact is the cause of the activation limit issue. If others could confirm this on their next uninstall and reinstall then maybe we could all get closer to solving this issue.

Thanks for the heads-up on that. There's also an interesting and confirming reply by pvsurfer over there.
