Oh, It also goes by other names such as FastRestore and DataRecovery. Here are more links regarding those programs:

I know, that's why I use Shadow Defender as well. Plus Comodo Firewall with Defence+ antiexecution functions maxed-out, plus Avast, plus MalwareBytes' AntiMalware, plus KeyScrambler Premium. Plus two copies of an Acronis backup stored in two different mediums, one of which is stored away from the computer. I am paranoid!

I like the third screenshot here:

http://www.athtek.com/data-recovery/screenshot.html

It says System Backup(39 years ago). This made me smile, it just shows how poorly coded this thing is. I wouldn't try this even if the pro version was free, hell, I wouldn't even try it if they paid me for it.

I pity the poor oblivious n00bs who will get caught by such sites and end-up paying their hard-earned money for crap like this, thinking they're getting a bargain. It's a jungle out there, and the antelopes that can't run fast enough always end up as dinner...

No no no.. you don't understand.. This guys apps are so advanced It really was 39 years ago. The app opened a wormhole and traveled back 39 years to collect the energy of the cosmos to do the most detailed quantum backup ever - then traveled forward in time to your location just a split 00000.1 of a second later giving you the backup you needed. You never even noticed your PC was gone.. Amazing isn't it?

That's an old version of our program and the error 39 years ago is related the Windows time setting.

Thanks for your concern on our program.

Hello Zero3K, can you send us the following information, which we need to fix such problem? Please send to support at sysnew.com

brand and type of your PC
hard disk capacity
disk partition details
and C:\Windows\*.DMP

BTW, have you got any other restore software? It is not compatible with other system restore software.

Sysrestore VS Windows build in restore utility

Sysrestore VS Windows built in restoration
Based on sector by sector copy, Sysrestore is able to backup any partition on boot partition; restore files, restore system after crash, restore different snapshot, boot system from backup.

Windows built in restoration is based on file copy and it can only backup files on system partition.

For other related issue, I would like to state here.

Sysrestore VS Rollback RX

The difference between Sysrestore and other restore utility is that Sysrestore uses true writing technology for backup.

Fake writing backup technology: Protect original data on hard disk for protection and it does not allow any change. When new data arrives, it would be kept on some safe area. To perform the recovery, it would abadon the new data saved on the safe area and only keep old data on the disk in the end .

True writing backup technology: when saving new files on disk, it would backup old data on safe area and then save new data on the disk. In the recovery process, it would move the old data from safe area to the disk while keeping the new data on the disk.

Sysrestore uses true writing backup technology.
Rollback RX uses fake writing backup technology.

Poor English on our site

Sorry that our English is not polished. We would appreciate if you could help us improve the written English on our website http://www.sysnew.com and we would like to offer code of Sysrestore PRO free to you as return.

Price of Sysretore Pro

Thanks for your feedback of the price. We would offer more flexible options to users.

At last, we want to thank all users on this thread, especially CyberMan969 who remind us to provide better programs; and Bryan who emailed us this thread.

Have a great day.

Greetings,, XS... thanks for stopping by!

If I read the above correctly (it's a bit difficult due to language), I must take issue. Rollback RX does not abandon new data when a recovery is performed. The new data is also saved (by DEFAULT) when the old data is recovered. The product offers you the option of abandoning the new data if you wish.

What you're describing ("Fake writing") seems to be the "light virtualization" recovery applications, of which almost all of them work as you describe. Rollback RX is not a light virtualization application... it's described exactly as your "true writing" scenario.

...and we would like to thank you for stopping by and helping us better understand this product... it looks very interesting.

Since many of the RESTORE product users here are pretty technical, any additional information on exactly how your product works (without giving up intellectual property, that is) would be more than welcome... your website offers very little.

And a quick reminder (since your mind also works faster than your hands... like my mind)... your product's name is SysRestore, not SysRetore as above

LOL! We will not offer you a free license for this small typo on this forum.

Add to that, you already own Rollback Rx and you are a very experienced Rollback Rx user.

Though, nice try!

Kindest regard,

P.S. Just teasing!

xiasoftware,

I'm still afraid of your program.

Look, I am one of the many people who have had trouble with RollbackRX and Comodo Time Machine - they both crashed my system in the same way making my OS unrecoverable. I'm not paying for another app that would crash my system. You know.. the RollBack people and the CTM people could Not help recover my system - all they could say is The program works for some folks without flaws and not for others - and neither of them KNOWS why.

The problems happened when the virtual OS that boots before windows loads.. it's recovery environment, could not restore my backup after a system crash. Both RollBackRx and CMT failed in this manner. ( oh sure sometimes they would work, but it just takes one time to fail to leave you stranded)

So, now, to test your technology, I have to shell out Another 50 bucks (already paid for RollBackRx) If your app fails the same way theirs did, what is my recourse? You gonna tell me like them, Sorry there is nothing you can do? The ability of these types of programs to restore from a snapshot on boot when your whole C drive is fried is critical to the program working as advertised - and you not selling a lemon - a program that still needed time to bake in the Beta oven. CTM and Rollback cannot even tell my why the programs failed let alone expect me to trust them again.

What do you say to these things? How can you ensure the restore of the snapshot on Boot when your whole C drive is gone will always work not leaving you stranded?

Certainly you understand that no product of this type is going to protect you from a drive failure or perhaps a serious MBR infection. So, in the end you are always going to have to have a drive image backup.

Of course I understand that but I expect these types of programs to work normally at least for a reasonable period of time - to actually do the job they are advertised they do, without failing so easily.

These types of apps are supposed to offer you some type of protection from system crashes. If you cannot reasonably rely on them, then what good are they? I submit to you that they are no good at all.

It would be better to always make regular backups and not waste your hard earned cash on such programs.

Granted MBR failure of hard drive failure being the exception - I didn't have those issues. Most people who have had these problems with CTM or RollBack RX didn't have those issues. It is a clear case of the software failing to perform. CTM and RollBack does ( when working) have the ability to reinstall your whole OS even if you cannot boot to C and your whole C drive is wiped out say by a virus or even accidental deletion.

I agree that their advertising claims are a stretch of the imagination and the last thing that they will admit is that their software is far from total protection. I guess it’s up to the user to decide if the product is worth the cost.

Some here on these forums feel exactly that way while others feel the convenience of fast snapshots and relatively fast restores is worth the price.

On your download page you state:

We promise that our software does not contain any spywere, adware etc.

It should read:

We guarantee our software to be free of spyware, adware, or any other form of malware.

Or a corrected version of your original statement:

We promise that our software does not contain any spyware, adware etc.

Hello 1000db, thank you so much for your correction on our poor English. Please tell us your email then we can send you code of Pro edition. Or you may drop an email to support at sysnew.com and we will know your address. I tried to send PM on this forum however the system said service not available.

Other questions about Sysrestore

Sysrestore vs its PRO, yes, the only difference between free and pro version is the numbers of snapshots. Be free to use the free edition.
