Do I need the SAS Core Service?

I installed the Free Edition of SUPERAntiSpyware and there is a SAS Core service running at startup...

I can safely set it to Manual right? Since I don't use the Pro version?

Someone with a bit more technical details about this particular service kindly shed some light on the above.

you need it for the free edition - leave it set as we set it

it's a required component of SUPERAntiSpyware's on-demand and real-time scanning as well as product updates. If it is not running, scanning effectiveness will be reduced. If SUPERAntiSpyware is not running, the core service will not be using any processor time and an insignificant amount of memory.

SUPERAntiSpyware is designed to be run by all user types (even those with limited permissions). It can't start services for you without having to display a UAC prompt every time you launch it.
