Default HIPS and Self defense

Greetings everyone.

I'm using this excellent antivirus product for years and I'm very satisfy with it.

One question. We have HIPS component with version 5.I want to know if HIPS is disabled, does Self defense of NOD32 antivirus still work or not? Thanks.

Self-defense are special HIPS rules for protecting ESET's and system services and files so disabling HIPS will effectively disable Self-defense, too.

Thanks Marcos for the answer.
So, HIPS must be enabled for effective defense of the product.

It's possible to disable Self-defense and keep HIPS enabled but not vice-versa.
