Default Any drawbacks to using "less resources" options?

Are there any drawbacks (specifically in actual, functional level of protection provided,) to when users select to enable the options relating to Webroot "using less resources" in the background?

They are off by default, so one must wonder. I myself only use them on my netbook. Otherwise, my netbook and desktop configurations are identical - maximize all protections!

Thanks,

No, you'll just not have quite as many logs and as much information stored into logs, but there is no negative impact on security.
