Default Question regarding Shadowprotect

I performed a backup image of my C drive using the SP CD.
The result was in three files:
C VOL ....md5
C VOL.....sp1
C VOL.....spf

What are the last two images for? and why two separate ones when I asked for a full backup.
How to perform a recovery of the C drive with these files?

Thanks

When the restore program asks for an image to restore, point it to the SPF file.
