Default Version 4 Business Update – Windows XP Splash Screen

I have been running the 2.7 version of NOD32 on my machines with no problems, until I decided to upgrade to version 4 (as requested from popup box).

Once version 4 is installed, I reboot the machine and all I get is the windows xp splash screen with the bar running along the bottom.

I am able to access safe mode fine, but to get the system operational again I have to do a system restore.

The system is not looping, just sticks on the xp splash screen. The machines are running True Image 2009. Could then be an issue?

Look forward to your thoughts.

Regards - Richard

Default Re: Version 4 Business Update – Windows XP Splash Screen

Please try updating True Image to the most recent version, due to some older versions of TI causing the OS to hang at boot with an ESET antivirus client installed, as well as performing the following steps to remove all traces of the ESET antivirus client, and then re-installing the ESET antivirus client:

How do I manually uninstall my Windows ESET security product?
