Default New version of Drive Image...

Another new build from 10/22/2011...

R-Drive Image v4.7 build 4731
by R-tt Team » Sat Oct 22, 2011 2:45 am

A new build of R-Drive Image version 4.7 is available for download.
Improved:
* The maximum size for MBR created during image creation or copying/restoring is increased to 1MB. The previous maximum size was 63 sec which wasn't enough for grub2. That may resulted in an unbootable Linux system after copy/restore.

R-Drive Image v4.7 build 4732
by R-tt Team » Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:09 am

A new build of R-Drive Image version 4.7 is available for download.
Improvements
* The startup version of R-Drive Image is based on Linux kernel 3.1.1.
* R-Drive Image now creates new partitions with a 512KB alignment.

Bugfixes:
- The startup version might try to assemble a previously existed but disassembled BIOS RAID and create invalid RAID volumes. Fixed.
- ETL and progress might previously erratically jump between operations. Fixed.

New version out 12/29/2011...

R-Drive Image v4.7 build 4733
by R-tt Team » Thu Dec 29, 2011 9:14 am

A new build of R-Drive Image version 4.7 is available for download.
Improvements
New features:
+ R-Drive Image now can copy partitions from a hard disk to another one with a 512KB alignment. This is useful for SSD and advanced-formatted disks.
+ R-Drive Image can now set a process priority and a number of CPU cores used to create an image.

Changes
= The “Realign partitions” option is used now on the Restore/Copy parameters panel for the disk copy action instead of “One partition after another”.

Fixed
- Some bugfixes in processing NTFS partitions with 4096-byte sectors.
- Some cosmetic fixes.

512KB alignment is not enough for SSD

SSD needs at least 1024KB alignment

might want to change the title of this thread to say the proper program name as i confused it with another program

should be R-Drive Image and not Drive Image
