I have COMODO Firewall + COMODO Defense+ and Avast running.
Is that all I ever need to keep my laptop clean? I also have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware + HitmanPRO + Emsisoft Emergency Kit on my laptop, but do I ever need to run those seeing I have COMODO Firewall + COMODO Defense+ and Avast running? Can I remove Malwarebytes Anti-Malware + HitmanPRO + Emsisoft Emergency Kit from my laptop? Thanks, I value and appreciate everyone's opinions. |

Yes. You can have further protection with a virtualizing or a sandboxing program, and to use EAM for on demand - second av scan.

I do use Sandboxie as well when visiting websites I am not sure about. What is EAM? And in your opinion, should I remove avast and just use the COMODO Firewall + COMODO AV + COMODO DEFENSE+ ? |

I have similar configuration as you on my 2 pc, everithing works great Avast withoun some mudules i think are not usefull (as webreputation ) + CIS FW & D+, and HitmanPro set as scan every startup, nothing more tahn this. According to AV-Comparaives (not public but they test Comodo AV and is a poor result less than 90% as you can see here http://www.melih.com/ ) I think is not so good test their AV.

EAM = Emsisoft Anti-Malware (previously known as a-squared Free)
IMHO I'd keep avast and use avast alongside comodo firewall w/ defence + enabled. You should be fine.

Thanks, I will keep Avast + Comodo Firewall + Comodo Defense+ And once per week I will run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware + Hitman PRO + Emsisoft Emergency Kit scanner. Guess it won't hurt Thanks everyone for your valued feedback and opinions. |

IMO you won't need EAM if you are going to use HMP since HMP uses EAM also.

Thanks for that ![]() So that simplifies everything so I don't need to use too many things. So I will just run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware + Hitman PRO once per week. So does EAM scan the same areas as Hitman PRO? |

More or less the same area unless you were going to conduct a full scan with EAM.

Yes IMO.
you could use sandboxing along as others mentioned though i found that sandboxing can slow your surfing process so maybe just use it when you wanna do banking or shopping. |

There's nothing to be gained by sandboxing the browser when doing online banking and shopping. Sandboxie can do nothing to help guard against theft if a trusted website has been hacked, or if the system has already become infected with a keylogger by some other means. In those situations, a browser protection utility like Trusteer Rapport might be of more use than a sandbox.
