On all my computers I'm using WEBROOT SecureAnywhere Essentials, NIS-2012 and MBAM combinations. Different setups for each computer. All are working excellent. :D

NOD32 on a couple of machines and avast! Free on several others.

Based on the results of the 2011 Jul-Dec poll, I'd really be interested in learning how many are using the free version of avast!. As much as I like the AV, I very well might be using another AV if I had to buy licenses for each machine; probably either switching another free solution, like Avira or MSE, or buying a bundle of licenses for, perhaps, NOD32.

Still using avast! Free Antivirus with only one essential real-time shield (File system shield) installed, AutoSandbox disabled, Silent/Gaming Mode enabled, totally password-protected and a couple of other tweaks. No impact at all on performance, perfect usability and reasonable detection rates.

    Kaspersky.

I hate to be this guy, but do products like MBAM belong here? It isn't really an Antivirus...

I thought that as well. Plus if you include additional anti-malware (only) scanners, ideally you should include all of the current ones.

BTW, I'm still using MSE. ;)

I picked Emsi and Eset. Did not even think to pick MBAM as I was not thinking it was an av. But I run it alongside Emsi and Eset on each of my computers.

Should we only select what we use or is family members that you have set up count?

Personally, if I selected the s/w to be installed on a family member's machine, I would also select the s/w in a poll. IMHO, if *we* made the decision re which product to use, that should count (just the way I see it, of course).

Panda Cloud AV free because is very light and appears to have good detection rates. To use with Sandboxie, any reasonable AV is enough IMO.

    I voted VIPRE (AV 2012).
Also running MBAM Pro but I didn't click on it in the poll. ;)

Realtime: None. Ondemand (about once a month): pretty much anything, that comes to my mind at that time, but mostly portable only.
