Firefox useragent string and Ubuntu

    Ubuntu has modified the useragent string to include "Ubuntu".
    This obviously applies to Firefox installed via Ubuntu's updates.

    This would give them data on number of actual Ubuntu users around. Strangely they haven't updated Thunderbird to version 8 yet.

    Those who pull Firefox directly from Mozilla can use these instructions:
    From: http://johnbokma.com/mexit/2004/04/24/changinguseragent.html <<< 2004 but it works for Aurora (Fx 10).
