I came across a posting somewhere suggesting that ESET antivirus maybe responsible for the certificate problems I'm having. if this is the case, how do I fix it.
I'm using firefox 6.02 and thunderbird 6.02 and eset antivirus 4.2.71.2 (64bit)

Pleae elaborate more on what issue you're encountering? Do you have SSL scanning enabled in ESET NOD32 Antivirus?

99I do have SSL scanning enabled
I'm getting invalid certificates with firefox & thunderbird. the behavior of the web pages that I visit seems to be affected by an invalid certificate using Firefox. all asking for confirmation exemption. sites with invalid certificate Espn log in page - shows no log in page, but IE was able to see it in spite of the invalid certificate notice. Firefox add on page - can't even get on the page Amazon.com - user account menu formatting is screwed up. thunderbird after thunderbird is loaded, an invalid certificate window pops up asking to confirm exemption for 995 port a number of emails have had invalid certificate window pop up
