Hey
Guyz have you tried UnThreat Free Edition. It uses Vipre engine & has all the options of Vipre & is free & fully functional. Recently free version was released.

I am running it currently. No slowdowns, scans are fast, light, etc.

Currently they are using Vipre 4 engine. I am a member in their forum & asked about this. They replied "We are waiting for Vipre to release their engine 5 latest to OEMs, it should be soon".

Thanx
Naren

Removed Off Topic Post. The subject is Vipre 2012 products only; let's focus on that. Thanks!

Wow that is weird I've had Vipre for awhile now,it's setup to quickscan every hr and deepscan when I'm sawing logs.have it on this and a vista machine(laptop),setup is for screen to go off not computer so it and other programs in the background can do their thing.
in short have not had any bad experiences with scans I don't see but have had the normal popup windows to allow or deny.even the gui does let you enter exclusions so as to avoid conflicts with other realtime apps going on.a claim they made about using the same engine as mbam did IS just plain false so installed it after Vipre along with revo and others
