No great loss IMO.

I had never heard of Ninite before. Looks like a nice program, but way too limited range of programs to be of any use to me. I use FlashGet to check for updates for around 200 programs daily - and I'm adding more programs every few days.

This is actually a good lesson for you. You believe that they're saints because they offer slim versions

There's also Allmyapps with much more applications, i don't know though if they make clean installs (without toolbars and stuff) like Ninite

Damn... no more CCleaner? That's what I used to update it.

Comment on the ccleaner forum from MrG the Piriform owner

We like the Ninite product for it's simple use to update and install products. Unfortunately they're selling it as a Pro version, so are making money from our free products. However we're chatting with them to come up with a solution

I am glad that Piriform Still offers (Slim = Clean) versions,
when other vendors offer Only *Bundled with Ad-ware* Freeware.

How long will Piriform offer Slim versions?

I do Not know, because I'm Not officially/unofficially
associated with Piriform or any other Vendor.

Never wrote that they are Saints.
This is your (mis)interpretation...
