Best software to help me learn more about Linux

Hello everyone,

I've been in a lecture about free software/linux and it motivated to give Ubunto a try.

My hardware is a Dell Notebook, which includes two graphic cards (Intel HD & Gefroce 420m).

I downloaded a e-book to learn how to use Linux. But before I get rid of Windows, I want to try it in a virtual machine, so I can learn how to install my drivers and other programs.

I would like you guys an advice. What virtual machine should I use (one that doesn't come with drivers)? I've read that Ubunto and OpenSuse are the best to get to know Linux for the first time, is it right?

ist you dont need to remove windows you can always do dual boot there are many softwares and games which still not work on linux for example phone suites for them you need windows and you also pay for your windows so no need to remove it.

second trying linux on virtual machine is also a very good idea
