Question truecrypt ,can i use more then 1 keyfile to create a container?

hi

can i create a container using more then 1 generated keyfile?

for example , create a container using 4 generated keyfiles?

should be more safe hypothetically, seeing one generated keyfile is enough

thanks

yes you can I use 2 generated key files for my true crypt archives.

I would think 4 would be possible.

Make sure you back up your keyfiles, otherwise if any of them change you can be permanently locked out.

Tools > Keyfile Generator

You can use this function to generate a file with random content, which you can use as a keyfile (recommended). This function uses the TrueCrypt Random Number Generator. Note that the resulting file size is always 64 bytes (i.e., 512 bits), which is also the maximum possible TrueCrypt password lengt

if the max is 64bytes , is there a sense to use more keys files ?

i mean i can use 4 generated key files , but tc will use always 64bytes

thanks

The only security in using more than one key file is that an attacker would have to Know your password and get access to each (and all) key files. Unless you are storing them in separate devices I would just use one.
