Pimp my Linux, they say. Indeed, why not. Enter a complete guide explaining how to install latest versions of popular software in CentOS 6, including Firefox 5, Google Chrome stable, beta and unstable, LibreOffice, Adobe Flash, Sun Java with browser plugins, Skype, VLC, LyX, and Google Earth, plus tips and instructions on command line installations and archive management, enabling extra repositories, creating custom application launchers, desktop integration, linking, tweaks, some small debugging, and more.
