Unhappy Java/ByteVerify

I am using AVG Antivirus 7.0, which i have set to run minimally in the background monitoring processes on my computer.

While recently running Ad-Aware, AVG detected a virus giving the message:
"While opening file: C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-aware 6\Cache\BlackBox.class Virus identified Java/ByteVerify"

It will not allow me to heal it, delete it, or even move it to vault.

I even went into the lavasoft folder listed and the Cache folder it mentions does not exist.....

What should I do to remove this virus?

Thanks,
Michael

Why don't you go to the link and run the online scan and see if it detectes the malware and can delete it. There is a chance it is a false alarm. so we want to double check to be sure online scan

I had the same exact thing. Ran the online scan as per your suggestion and it picked up 14 Jave Byte Verify. It says they are noncleanable and I can't see exactly where they are on my computer. Also, I can't figure a way to print the results and see exactly where they are on my computer. I know it is in Document and Settings/......... Should I delete these files? Thanks for your help.

The information in this Lavasoft KB article may solve the problem of why you are seeing AVG flagging a virus: http://www.lavahelp.com/articles/v6/03/04/1901.html

I get 3 alerts from AVGs resident shield for the Javabyte/Verify {a.class, blackbox.class, verifyer.class}
I dunno...
I have all of the Microsoft Critical Updates (always up-to-date) and still had the terrible hickjacker
START.CHM and it's ACCESS[1] file: perhaps the JAVAbyte/Verify, even though it is quarrentined, allows these flaws and allowed the Start.chm porn site to embed itself into the registry.
I am saying a lot of "WHAT IFs" and know little about the subject but maybe there is a relation.
Cheers
