Default Backups hang

No problems using V9 pro until today.

Tried to archive HDD four times but always hangs at 79/80% every time and takes the computer with it (power off needed to shut down).

No change to system (except for Microsoft updates) following last sucessful archive session, so I am a bit puzzled as to why this is occuring.

Any advice on the above would be most welcome.

Thanks

Check the disk. Run chkdsk, check the SMART parameters, run the manufacturer´s diagnostics.

Thanks for your reply.

ChkDsk ok - no bad sectors.

Western Digital Diagnostics hangs at approx the same sector point as V9 Pro and also hangs the computer.

Still unable to ascertain if problem is hardware or software related from diagnostic results so far.

Regards

Grasmith
