Open Letter of Thanks. . To Paul, Moderators, and Members.

First off, I would sincerely like to Thank, Mr. Paul Wilders for providing this wonderful educational environment for us all. This forum allows us all to grow our knowledge, and gives us the confidence to explore, modify, and improve all aspects of our PC’s (especially in regards to security). The atmosphere at the Wilders Security Forum, is relaxed, always friendly, extremely helpful, a place you can always come to for help, no matter your knowledge level, and NEVER be embarrassed to ask anything your unsure of, - it’s also a nice place to just hang out and socialize with others. The Forum Moderators you have selected are always calm, reassuring to guests and members a like, proficient in their fields of expertise, patient, very understanding and sensitive – especially in the Hijack forums, where this is crucial, as the person asking for help is often vulnerable and frightened; but also they are also aware that this is an international forum, where most often than not, the users native tongue is not English. I commend all the Moderators here for all of their continuing efforts and dedication. You too, are responsible for providing; maintaining, and shaping the forum to what it is today. It’s no coincidence, that all the members here also exhibit many and most of the same traits you all display; I think observing this behaviour helps us all emulate it – and it is also true that those of like minds tend to gravitate together. All in all you have all contributed to making us better people. To the members and guest, you also receive kudos for their assistance to others that are less knowledgeable then yourselves and deserver thanks.

To Paul and the Moderators - I know you do not wish to be in the spotlight, but would rather perform this public service, humbly without acknowledgement, as a real role model should. I just wanted to express my thanks and provide a thread for others here to do the same. This is so you have the benefit of enjoying our appreciation of you and your service, privately. This acknowledgement is more than warranted.

You have all made this is a wonderful place to be!

    Sincerely;

The Members and Guests of Wilders Security Forum.

If anyone wishes to add to the letter, please freely do so.

PS. Paul and all Moderators: I am sorry if anyone of you is uncomfortable with this post, please do not delete it … it should remain as a memorial of our thanks to you. I'm sure everyone feels the same, I hope I haven't offended any members or gusets by speaking and signing on their behalf, I do apoligize if I have. I hope this post isn't out of line.

I so agree with all Dog said. This is a most great place to come & learn. I don't know the English too well yet but I am getting good practice here to learn about securities for the computer & to get help with problems. Thank you to all for the many hard works.

Dog or should I say - The Members and Guests of Wilders Security Forum.

You said everything that anyone here will say and your views are just the mirror image of everyone here. I started my journey in this field from here, learnt here, got informations and guidance and still do and I know I will always do. Most security places have the same system - Users come, ask questions, gets solutions and goes away !! I feel that is not a nice approach. This place taught me that the solution is not when you get the solution but when you learn how you got the solution. I am now running my own Forum, but got every bit of support and inspiration from this Forum, which I always regard my Home away from Home. The way everything goes here does make one realise ... World is a better place to live in.

    Regards

Hear! Hear! I was so unhappy with my first brand new computer, I stayed off for 3 months and just gave it dirty looks when I passed by, then one day I decided to try again and went to Dell Forum. What caught my eye was someone named ChrisLG(sp) giving understandable answers and as I read I understood that it probably wasn't my dell, not all me, but, some lowlifes without a life! That got my attention and I went straigtht to the old Wilders. What a change!! I could actually learn right at home and with such OUTSTANDING teachers!! I have to stop by, even for a short time, it would be TOO strange not to stop by "HOME" on my travels!! Aren't we all lucky that there are such high minded individuals who are also very creative security specialists?? A Big THANKS from this family!!:D

This is a perfect opportunity to voice my appreciation to Paul and the mods for many hours of pleasure I receive from reading this forum, and more importantly, the knowledge that I gain from the users and the experts here.

I also was a lucky winner of the Nod32 antivirus app. and will gladly renew the licence when it comes due - it is superb.

So a thankful hats off to Paul and the forum folks, :)

I would definitely like to add my thanks to all involved on this forum. I have learned so much in all sections I have visited. I feel this is the only forum I can come to for all my secuirty worries. It is a great forum for products I already have plus I can research products I would like to add to my security.
Everyone of the experts go the extra mile when it comes to helping and do not leave a post until a resolution is found.
Any of the moderators who have helped me have given 100% of their knowledge and broken it down until I fully understand how to make full use of any software.

I have not been a member for long but I am thankful for the day I discovered Wilders Security forum.

A real big DITTO to what Dog said. My feelings of the people in here and how I have been treated and helped, have made me feel so good, and could be second only to winning the Lotto ;)

A great big Kudos to all that have given up their time to help others for nothing but the good feeling they get from it. In this day and age, we don't find to many people that would want to give something, and not require our first born in payment :) You do realize it's people like you who restore our faith in humanity :D

Typically, when feedback is given it's negative, so it's nice to see feedback like the above. I agree 100%. This forum is indeed a class act.

Yes we ALL should agree, this is the only forum for security knowlage.

Even given the fact that I am an idiot, and can't understand very much
about this box with the blinking lights, I do read hear and have gotten help that I can't even get from my own bothers, (the very mean people that gave me this strobe light music machine),
And one of them, (the oldest and maybe smartest), lives about 5' away
in the other bedroom. (He claims we are safe behind router and fire walls)?
I on the other hand have a camera aimed at my system, I'm sure there IS
EVIL INSIDE and just need proof!
So I am very happy to see this thread and do take my hat OFF to All the moderators.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Have a NICE Day\Night!!

PS: Peiter is the greatest! (I would even let him win a few games If I ever got the chance to play with him)!

:D I have been on this forum a long time ago and then I came back and saw how the Dedication still is here and the stamina of Helping us all with our problems. I really Like the way that TDS is on this Forum as well. When a long time ago I never liked Mr. Paul Wilders picture because of the cigarette – I still liked his picture and thought what a good thoughtful man he must be! Then recently I was flabbergasted that he still is Helping others in an ever Supporting way!
Thank you for all your Help Mr. Paul Wilders and the mod.’s and of course All the members and guests. Maybe in the future when this World gets better and I have not that many issues to do and have more Time on my hands, I can learn more Security issures and help out on the boards.

    snipped off topic content- Pieter

I came here originally looking for assistance, and then stayed in an effort to help others as I have been helped so often by many here. This forum has been both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I've learned so much and made so many friends; A curse because now I spend way too much time here - I just can't seem to drag myself away! :D
