Default Ubuntu 11.04 live cd will not successfully boot

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.Ubuntu 10.10 live cd works great.I've re-downloaded iso file a few different times and even burned them different times and Ubuntu 11.04 live cd acts like it's loading and then screen goes black with flashing cursor. Then the screen says after awhile files cann't be found. After I reboot back in windows I open the burned iso disk and it sure looks like all files are there.Like I said Ubuntu 10.10 live cd works great. Thanks for any help.

I have been able to create 4 Virtualbox images with the disk (not one of them has worked correctly) but when I try to boot my laptop with the disk it fails with a black screen. This is the only version I have ever tried that would not boot the laptop. I am giving up on 11.04 at this point and sticking with 10.10. Hopefully 11.10 will be more stable.

It's probably kernal mode setting (KMS) When the first grub screen appears press F6 and choose nomodeset and then boot.

Thanks to all that replied.I did try what you suggested Beavenburt and it did the same thing as before, but everything was larger on screen. At least I did get a screen with some options this time.As I said before Ubuntu 10.10 live cd works very well. Thanks again for replies, you guys are the best.I learn a lot from Wilders forums.
