Default Windows AV virus, is everything safe now?

I think I just got hit with the Windows Antivirus virus. I ran MalawareBytes but it found nothing. I just ran a scan and it found four intrusions which it seems to have put in quarantine. it said they were in the java script. But I haven't had a ton of pop ups all over the place, so I am guessing, hopefully I'm right. That it is all safe now.

It sounds like you are out of the woods. If you have run scans with several cleaners and found nothing then you are most likely no longer infected. If you wish to pursue this further you can always submit a case with ESET Customer Care.

I had the same problem and after the removal still had Popups.

Make sure to check the PC HOSTS file and to be safe run a 3rd party free av scan (DrWeb) to make sure there isn't any hidden rootkit

Thanks
