AV-Comparatives 2011 dynamic tests

A shame 2011 is the most bloated suite I have ever seen. Haven't yet found the time to test 2012 beta, but I hope that will be way faster.

Personally I am very happy with ESET's performance .

All the tested products seem to be doing fairly well now though. That's always a good sign.

Agree! Since the 2010 version norton has produced top software and they have been in the top at every test made by serious testing companies.

 

I find the bar chart very interesting, but yet again - Comodo is excluded.

Cannot see the point in this kind of testing without including what is probably the best AV system available on the general market. Having said that, it does rank the rest in performance and gives us all a bone to chew on.

I use AVG 2011 and am delighted with it. Since I installed AVG 2011 some time ago, it has given no trouble and seems to be doing a great job in a most efficient way. I like it.

I do use Sandboxie though, which on an individual level rather makes AV comparisons of this kind almost incidental.

Avast beat avg and avira
Kaspersky and norton are both 100 % as to what i can see - kaspersky has 0.9 % and Norton has 0.5% user dependancy bar ...so if we click no we are 100 % safe

These are definitely unacceptable results for Avira which should really wake up from its Winter slumber, I wonder why isn't Vipre being tested.

 

Both of them would have opted not to be tested by AV-C for this rounds tests. They have to want to be tested before AV-C will be able to evaluate their products for them.

 

I'll save my comments until the entire test is over.

 

I'm very pleased with ESET's results

Avast did very well considering it's a Free AV. I'm impressed

And BitDefender, F-Secure, G-Data, Kaspersky, Panda and Norton did perform best out of the paid products. As usual I would say.
