Getting file copy error at the end of installation, then it aborts. Tried to download again in case of corrupt download, but didn't help. The checksum of the one I downloaded is:
    Code:
    SHA-512
    EC10A88A5EC67B74DE5158EA746C68617ACA074DC7DC9F7903C035FB464A5F06308A9EC6DDBB44C8F11B2579482EC5D15531B4E419BD65CD61B5E95B18E246BA
    Is this correct?

EDIT: Thanks JRViejo, didn't notice it :)

UPDATE: It seems the 5.0 installer couldn't remove v4 correctly, but it was fixed after a reboot :)
What does the Enable rescue scan option do?

It should have removed 4.x with no problem - what version of 4 were you running, and what OS, etc.?

    Quickly testing, looking very good.

One thing I have noticed is that the "Trust Selected Item" option is non-operational, and consequently neither is "Manage Allowed Items" as the items I wish to ignore are not being whitelisted/allowed.

You have to select an item for those to be able to be active :)

Really like the new scheduler and the fact that it makes use of Windows Task Scheduler now. :D And even better yet, the option to wake from sleep is built right into the new SUPERAntiSpyware GUI, which the layout is awesome! Thanks! :thumb:

Yes, I tried that - both individually and together (there are 2 entries I wish to ignore in this instance)

but whichever way I try, they will not be ignored.

    1. Two items found [Critical Threats - Disabled SecurityCentre Options]
    2. I place a tick in the box of one and press "Trust selected item" button
    3. the message box appears to confirm this, so I press YES
    4. I then click on "Manage Allowed Items" button and the resulting window is empty.

Even right clicking the items and choosing "Always Allow Item/Trust Item" does not enter them into the allowed list.

So I tested by ticking/checking them both, then pressing Allow, then allowed SAS to clean the system.

They were both placed in quarantine, but when I tried to restore them from quarantine there was only one item that was restored, not both...as I found out when I re-scanned the system quickly...
only one alert appeared rather than the 2 which should have appeared if both registry entries had been restored.

I hope that explanation was clear. o_O

Thanks, I thought it was some kind of super aggressive setting, since it says: "Highly Infected Systems Only."
    Could you explain Nick?
Version 4.50, free edition, running Windows 7 x64.

The Rescue Scan is designed to handle infections that make the system "slow" or "unusable" - it won't hurt to do it normally, but really should just be used for highly infected systems as it gives SUPERAntiSpyware more "CPU Power", thus making other programs run slower during the scan - on an badly infected system this can be the difference in completing a scan or not.

After the official release of SuperAntiSpyware 5.0, do you plan to add the "Rescue Scan" feature to SuperAntiSpyware Portable?

    Thanks in Advance.
