So I made a change to the main policy we use in ESET. Will the clients eventually get that update, or do I have to force-push it to them with a task?
Also, is there a way to tell clients to get the updated policy, or do you have to go through the motions of exporting it to XML and then creating a task? |

DiPersiaTech,
If your clients are reporting in to the clients pane, then once they report in they will inherit the policy changes automatically. There is no need to push out a task. Regards, Jesus |

Is there a certain interval this happens?
The change we made was to disable the splash screen on startup (Followed KB article here - http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page...nt&id=SOLN2128) Made the change to our template that all machines are using, but none of them have yet to pick it up (Some machines were powered off, so we brought them up, they "checked in", but still have the checkbox for showing the splash screen.) |

Hi,
For that specific setting to take effect, you will need to change the Supress user setting to Yes under Default user interface values. A reboot is necessary after that. The interval is based on the time your machine checks in. |

Did change the suppress user settings (I posted the wrong KB - this is what we used - http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page...nt&id=SOLN2203)
Didn't realize a reboot was necessary though. Will give that a shot. Thanks! |
