Default BootIt Bare Metal and Scripting

Scripting is only available in the paid version. Not in the trial version. You don't need any scripting skills to build a backup or restore script. Briefly...

From the BM desktop, open IFD GUI and run through the choices until you get to the Options screen. Click Show Command, put a tick in Save to File, click OK, use a .tbs file extension in the Name field. eg restorew7.tbs. The script will be saved in the BootIt partition. You can then use the BootIt Text Editor to add /uy to the command line if you desire. With /uy the entire restore (or backup) will be automatic. So if you run BootNow in Windows (manually or at a Scheduled time) you will finish back in Windows.

The script can be run from Windows or BootIt BM.

Ver 1.03 has just been released. The feature which interested me is the Run icon on the desktop. It allows you to create or restore images using a single click.

When you save your Command Line there is now an Edit field where you can append /uy to make the image/restore process automatic.
