I actually like the icon. I liked the 3d look in the old one, but this 2d icon isn't bad.

Why you people like the old icon? I mean, it looks just like a pokeball

The new icon in pastel looks much more serious in my opinion.

Ermmm ... the old icon seemed to have been worked on a lot & 'designed', the new icon looks like it was cut out of construction paper!

Agreed. I've seen better design from 4th graders.

idk, the old icon had a more high tech look which i felt matched chrome, the new one has a nice minimalistic design which i like as well, but i think the old icon was better for chrome

The Chromium icon, with its blue colors, look good, but Chrome's icon... they better stick with the older one.

I love it. Much better than that obsolete 1990s bling thing. You did a great job!

Yeah, sorry Mr Sputnik. I just really did prefer the 'blingy' Chrome icon. Oh no ... I've turned into a chav!

What's interesting is that all other major web browsers have gone for a more realistic, 2.5D effect. But it's not only web browsers, most icons in general nowadays look like that.

I wonder why Google wants to go with such a simplistic, flat 2D look.

Maybe cause it's ugly when scaled?
