Thank you for responding, ruinebabine.

In the exact same way that K1CR does, or does KI offer more options, regarding specifically system partition imaging?

Does it even install that GRUB recovery console/loader? Because, if it does (+ offers a more advanced system partition imaging functionality + can restore K1CR snapshots (like you confirmed)), then there is no reason for me to have them both. In fact, i should purchase only KI. (that's the purpose of my #2 question)

regarding system partition imaging:
  • Supports different user-defined compression levels
  • Backs up and restores from Windows Network Places
  • Moves or resizes partition while restoring a disk
  • Provides the ability to back up individual files and folders

Hello everybody!

I've been venturing into the world of Linux (Ubuntu) on my virtual machine. But I am delighted by the ease of using it, also its speed and impressive amount of applications ... And of course security.

I would like to install it on my laptop, but as I use 1-Click Restore Keriver Pro got some questions, who can help me I thank:

1. If I make dual-boot between Windows 7 and Ubuntu will I have problems with the restoration of images created before the dual-boot?

For example, I have a image of last month. If tomorrow I do dual-boot with Ubuntu, I have problems in the future when I want to restore my image?

2. What happens to the screen Keriver 1-Click Restore Pro that appears when I start the computer?

I need to remove it to make the dual-boot?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for my English!

Yes, you can choose which files you want to restore, and you can even mount backup as a virtual drive.

Hmm, I thought that was the case, but then was confused to read the following on Keriver's site:
Quote:
This program (speaking of K1CR-Pro) has the following extra features besides all the features included in Keriver 1-Click Restore Free:

1. Ability to recover files from snapshots.
2. Ability to schedule task of creating snapshot.
3. Snapshot management, including create, lock, unlock, delete.
4. Ability to verify the integrity of the snapshots.
5. Provides a detailed event log
6. Ability to change the storage drive for the snapshots.

One more question, how long does it create a baseline snapshot in the latest version? How about incremental snapshots? I'm thinking of replacing the built-in system image of windows 7.

The Baseline snapshot takes a maximum of 10 minutes.

I do not use the Incremental Snapshot, so I can not say anything.

2:1..........it's the only compression level.......it'll take a snapshot of total about 7gb (in two parts) if the system is about 13 and a half gb...........

live happy
cheers

HAPPY NEW YEAR
