I need to know if I can have the ERA Server send out threat notifications on behalf of clients, or if the notifications can only come from the clients themselves.
I've tried to find an answer to this but haven't been able to find anything conclusive. The reason I ask is that I only have 10 clients, but any email senders on my enterprise network either have to have an AD account and exchange mailbox, or be whitelisted on an ACL for an SMTP relay. I don't really want to have to create a dummy AD account & mailbox, and certainly don't want to have to whitelist all 10 clients or any future clients. It would be much simpler just to have the ERA server whitelisted and sending all the notifications about threats found on clients. Thanks. |

Yes, this is possible using the ESET Remote Administrator Notification Manager. You can obtain further information regarding this functionality, within the ESET Remote Administrator manual, starting at section 5.4.1:
