When running KillBox I select the Fix L2M The two files dngerous creatures.cpy.dll and dngerous creatures.dll are found. Then is it normal for the program to open up windows/sysyem32/cmd.exe and when i open that window all you see is the files names scrolling up the screen really fast. is this supposed to do this and is part of the process and will just shutdown without notice or is something going wrong with deleting the two files. It runs for a very long time and doesent stop.
Thanks again for your time. Last edited by gaby_cellar : April 24th, 2004 at 05:59 PM. |

Iam running windows XP pro and followed the link of removal using KillBox. The program wont remove the dngerous creature.cpy.dll and dngerous creature.dll. The program finds them but cant remove them and reboot.
This is really effecting the startup and may have been cause by accepting to download n-case. Vx2.betterinternet was found by adaware but no removed. If I try and remove the above files from windows/system32 and then reboot they just re-install themselves and cause the same lag with my comp. Here is the latest log scan. Anyhelp would be aweasome....thanks again. Hi gaby_cellar,
I have merged the other two threads you started with the same problem into this thread. Please do not cross post. It will benefit both you and us here at Wilders by keeping all the replies in a single thread to better see what is going on. The problem you are having is something new to this latest variant of L2M and once an Expert here has researched a fix to your problem, it will be posted here ASAP. Try one thing first please. Be sure Ad-Aware is up to date with the latest reference file. Then reboot into safe mode and run Ad-Aware from there. Hopefully it will be able to delete the files in question from safe mode. Please post back your results and a new HJT log after rebooting. Regards, Kent

I followed your instructions and restarted in Safe Mode. I ran adaware and it only found a tracking signal and not the files above. I aslo tried to run Killbox in safe mode. It detected the two files when searching for vx2.betterinternet. I tried to get rid of them but the same problem as above persisted. It goes to dos prompt to try and remove the two files and says it cant find them.
Here is the log from right after the scan. Any suggestions would be great and again thanks for your time. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to rid this dngerouscreatures.dll and dngerouscreatures.dll that think may help that would be greatley apprecitated. As for now the new updated Adaware has done nothing, spy sweeper nothing, spy detective nothing, norton nothing, and Killbox cant remove it either. Any suggestions would be great cause right now Iam up for trying anything to rid this annoying problem.

Hi gaby_cellar,
There is an automated fix in beta stage http://forums.broadbandmedic.com/cgi...act=ST;f=1;t=8 Which means it is in the progress of being tested. Sofar it works fairly well on all versions of XP /W2K I suggest you backup what needs to be backed up and try it. The alternative is to format and you will need the backups then as well. Regards, Pieter
