I ran a check on the site and here are the results:

67.231.241.195

Aminacc.com, e-khadamat.com, ixi.ir, 14masum.net, pardisdoor.com and at least 54 other hosts point to 67.231.241.195. Maktab-e-imamsadiq.ir use this as a mail serverswibet.com, imenshargh.com, ariaserver.com, indexiran.ir, swibet.biz and at least two other hosts use this as a name server

Note the .ir.

For what it's worth.... The Stuxnet worm was able to take over Iran's industrial control systems at their nuclear installations.

This "review" is not good, but this 'tube reviewer (like most of them) seems to be pretty inept.
(e.g. he pans ESET Smart Security 5 Beta because the HIPS doesn't catch something when he disables the file shield which did. I'm not an EST user but even I was aware that their new HIPS feature didn't function in the beta.)

Back to Maftoox. I've had it running on a PC for a few weeks.
It uses a lot of RAM. The interface is glitchy. For me it doesn't update automatically, and can't be updated manually unless I delete all the existing .xml definition files first.

Comes with some interesting tools though!

If I have understood right, Iran has a bad case of censorship and government control. I wouldn't test this AV. Same thing with security software coming from China and the alike.

While the point Spysnake made was a bit too broad, it's still valid. You can't (sensibly) just ignore the state of things in countries like this and assume everything is hunky dory, especially with security software. By the way, your undershirt can't install rootkits and various other nasties, so your comment is irrelevant. In any case, from the review, it's not even worth having a thread on.

Presumably a very small database, hopefully with the newest malware, thinking about their users.

My shirt is too made in China . The problem is not the country itself, it's the country's way to deal with computers. In China, there have been confirmed cases of malware installed in new devices. They have the government firewall which permits only "good" things. It is speculated that this country is also involved in cyber attacks on other governments. I like China and maybe someday I'll even visit it, but I don't trust software coming from there, code is too easy to adapt to "other, good purposes".

Same with Iran, sadly. Not a too long ago, Nokia Siemens Networks supplied the Iran government with surveillance equipment which the country has put to good use in fight against the people who don't think like they should. They also have things like religious police. Enough said.
