Paragon Drive Alignment for older drives (non-4K)

Does the program offers any hidden commands to revert the alignment?

I have this backup laptop, running on an old non-4K 80GB drive (3 partitions) and Windows XP SP3.

However, the program advised that the drive can be aligned and it should be "optimized". Hence, I did since I assumed the program would recommend the best option.

So may I ask what are the repercussion for doing it? I am unable to find much information on aligning older drives.

How can I revert it back without losing all the data? The alignment was done on the boot/system partition.

The offset is now set at 1000 (4096) instead of previous 3F (63). This is a 5-year old hard drive which is not in advanced format.

Hence, I asked what were the repercussions for aligning old drives. If so, I would wish to revert the changes.

Basically, the partition has just moved a few sectors and you lost a few bytes of space because of it. There wouldn't be any performance or stability issues because of the change. Being aligned to the new standard won't make the drive any faster or slower than it was.

If you're not having any problems with it, I'd just leave it be.
