Google redirecting - Pricester/budgetnet etc.

I have a real problem with google redirecting. This seems really common but why isn't my uptodate ESET antivirus sorting it out? I run Windows XP and have tried all types of Adware removal programmes plus Hijackthis to no avail.
Any advice?
